I’m the founder of Funambol, which provides “Open source mobile cloud sync for billions of phones.”
I joined Funambol when it purchased my company Zapatec in October 2009. I was the founder and CEO of Zapatec a Web 2.0 company which I started in 2002.
Prior to that, I was the president of DNAI, a S.F. Bay area ISP that I started in 1994 and sold in 1999 to RCN. Between 2000 and 2002 I took time off and spent time with my family.
In general, I Spent the last 25 years in the high tech, mostly software, industry.
I grew up in Israel, spent two years in Spain and two in Gabon as a child when by father’s job took the family there.
I started my military service in the Nahal which is a combination of infantry and Kibbutz service, and later moved to the paratroopers.
For fun, I play squash, read, spend time with the family and travel.
